Frequently Asked Questions
What is “CBD” anyway?
From Wikipedia: “Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid constituent of cannabis. It is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in hemp plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. It does not have intoxicating effects like those caused by THC.”
What’s it good for?
CBD can be found in ointments, tinctures and a variety of food or beverage products. Used topically on the skin, it can directly relieve muscular and joint pains. Taken internally via tinctures or foods, CBD can affect the body in a wide variety of ways, from helping with sleep issues to controlling anxiety. According to WebMD, it has also been noted for bipolar disorder, a muscle disorder called dystonia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and schizophrenia. People inhale cannabidiol to help quit smoking. *
Are there any side effects?
In the several years that we have been testing our CBD chocolates with people with a wide variety of medical conditions, we have never had anyone report any kind of adverse reaction. They have also not been found to cause any of the common symptoms that can be experienced with other forms of pain management. However, every person’s body responds differently, and caution must be exercised when taking any kind of new product, even ones that are plant-based. Please talk to your healthcare provider before beginning any new regimen, and start slowly – people have different levels of tolerance, and may have a different experience than others at the same dose.
How many truffles do I take?
Again, please use caution and perhaps start with a ½ truffle to begin with. One person we’ve done extensive product testing with who has advanced Lyme disease takes 1 truffle in the morning, and 1 truffle in the afternoon to help with muscle and joint pain, thus not requiring any other forms of pain medication. Your experience may be different based on your body composition and the severity of your symptoms. Again, please consult with your healthcare provider before beginning to take these truffles.
Are they going to make me feel “high”?
Not at all! We only use 100% pure organic hemp-derived CBD concentrate in our truffles, which is completely unable to “make you feel weird”. MedicalNewsToday reports: “CBD is an entirely different compound from THC, and its effects are very complex. It is not psychoactive, meaning it does not produce a “high” or change a person’s state of mind, but it influences the body to use its own endocannabinoids more effectively.” **
What’s the source of the CBD?
We use 100% organic CBD concentrate from a high-quality, professionally 3rd party lab-tested and fully licensed grower. We receive proof of origin and full test results with every batch, including shelf stability, heavy metal isolate results as well as proof of pesticide-free status. We are very passionate about using the highest quality CBD available, and are proud to provide you with the very best product possible!
Do your products contain THC?
Our products contain only as much as the legal amount allowed: THC is always less than 0.3% in all of our products.

May I pick up my order in your store?
Yes, you may — we will even feed you free samples when you stop by the shop. Just choose ‘In store pick-up’ in the shipping options when you check out. If for some reason you are unable to choose ‘In store pick-up’, send us an email at email@example.com with your information and we will take care of it.
What is your shipping policy?
We ship anywhere in the United States. Typically we ship on Thursdays. If you place an order on Thursday, it may not be shipped until the following week.
Although we ship using priority mail, we cannot be held responsible for shipments delayed by the postal service. We have no control over packages once they leave our shop and therefore cannot guarantee delivery times.
We recommend that you choose warm weather shipping if the temperature at your destination is above 75 degrees. While choosing this shipping option will not guarantee against temperature related damage, it is often effective in protecting the chocolate.
